MyDistrict · Hebbale Technologies
Terms of use
Version 2 · in force from 28 Oct 2026
Terms · Privacy · Community rules · Business listing agreement · Employer terms · Grievance officer
These terms are an agreement between you and Hebbale Technologies ("we"), which runs MyDistrict (mydistrict.in), its business websites and its mobile app. You accept them by ticking the box when you create an account, list a business or post. Please read them with the Privacy notice and Community rules.
1. What MyDistrict is
MyDistrict is a free, independent, private platform that gives every district of India a local page — businesses, jobs, offers, events, community help and local information. It is not a government website and is not connected to any government office, political party or religious organisation.
Most content is added by users and businesses. For that content MyDistrict is an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000: the person who posted it is responsible for it, and we remove content that breaks the law or our rules when we learn about it.
2. Who can use it
Anyone can browse. To create an account, post, review or list a business you must be 18 or older and able to make a binding agreement under Indian law. Use your real name and your own mobile number. Keep your PIN secret — you are responsible for what is done with your account.
3. Your content
- You are responsible for what you post and confirm it is true, lawful and follows the Community rules.
- You confirm you own, or have permission to use, every photo, logo and piece of text you upload.
- You keep ownership of your content. You allow us to show, store, resize and share it on MyDistrict (including WhatsApp shares and greeting cards) so the service can work, until you delete it.
- We may check, refuse, hide or remove any content, and suspend accounts, that we believe break the law or these terms.
4. Businesses, jobs and other features
Business owners also accept the Business listing agreement. People who post jobs also accept the Employer terms. Bookings, orders, payments, refunds and the quality of goods and services are between the customer and the business — MyDistrict is not a party to them and does not handle payments. Never pay money to get a job.
5. Information on the site
District information, photos, mandi rates, emergency numbers, festival dates and similar information come from public sources and users. We try to keep them correct but cannot guarantee it. Check important information (medical, legal, financial, emergency) with the right office before acting. Nothing on MyDistrict is professional advice. The daily calendar is calculated for the district's location and is a calendar only — not astrology or advice; follow your own place of worship for religious days. Weather forecasts come from MET Norway and can change. Today's rates are posted by the shops themselves, who are responsible for them. Invitations and khata records are made by the people who create them; MyDistrict keeps them but does not check them, lend money, charge interest or collect payments.
6. Things you must not do
Break the law or the Community rules; use someone else's mobile number or account; create fake accounts or reviews; collect other users' data; copy the site's content in bulk or use automated tools on it; send spam; try to break its security; or use it to harass anyone.
7. Free service, changes and ending
The basic service is free. Optional paid plans, if any, show their price and terms before you pay. We may change, pause or stop parts of the service and update these terms; when we do, you will be asked to accept the new version. You can delete your account at any time from My District.
8. Responsibility
We provide MyDistrict "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss caused by content posted by others, by dealings between users and businesses, or by the service being unavailable. Nothing here limits any right you have under Indian consumer law.
9. Record of your acceptance
When you accept these terms we keep an electronic record — the version and fingerprint (SHA-256) of the text, the date and time, and the network address and device used — as evidence of the agreement under the Information Technology Act, 2000. You can see your records in My District → My agreements.
10. Complaints and law
Complaints go to our Grievance officer. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bidar, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
Document fingerprint and earlier versions
The SHA-256 fingerprint proves this exact text. Each acceptance is recorded with the fingerprint of the version accepted.
